A filling and packaging machine capable of sealing packaged substance (W) such as liquid, powder, or viscous substance by sealing a package film (F) on three or four longitudinal and lateral sides thereof, comprising a trimming mechanism (12) having a trimming blade (12A) for cutting an ear parts (E) forming cut wastes by the vertical seal parts (S1) of continuously fed package bags (P) and a sucking mechanism (13) having a sucking port (13A) for sucking to collect the ear parts (E) forming the cut wastes provided on the downstream side of the trimming mechanism (12), whereby the cut wastes of the package bags can be excluded satisfactorily.
