PURPOSE: A clothing sales system and method using image synthesis and editing technology through a communication network is provided so that a purchaser not only can select desired clothes through a specific web site using a communication network, without directly trying clothes on, but also can cut, process and purchase the selected clothes suitably according to his taste, preference and individuality. CONSTITUTION: A clothing sales system using image synthesis and editing through a communication network is comprised of a web browser, an Internet access unit, a web server, a firewall system, a 3-dimensional modeling server, a goods database, a 3-dimensional image integrating server, a member database, an electronic catalog, a UMS(Unified Messaging Service) interface module, a UMS server, and a back office server. The Internet access unit is connected with the web browser of a user who accessing an Internet web site. The web server communicates with the web browser. The firewall system, connected to the web server, protects a system. The 3-dimensional modeling server converts generic goods information into 3-dimensional image goods information. The goods database stores 3-dimensional clothing goods information. The 3-dimensional image integrating server is provided to correct and/or edit image information. The member database integrates and manages information for the members of the web site. The electronic catalog is composed of various goods information(generic goods information and 3-dimensional goods images) of the web site. The UMS interface module is for interfacing with the UMS server. The UMS server has a message conversion function. The back office server contains an extern module for interfacing with the system connected to the web site.
