PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deliver real mail from a post office while printing it by transmitting a sending request from a transmitter and to refer to a delivery history from the head office terminal for electronic mail. SOLUTION: Concerning the electronic mail system provided with plural transmitter terminals 110 connected through a network 120 to terminals 130 and 140 for an electronic mail company and the processing method therefor, the sending request transmitted from the transmitter terminal 110 having electronic mail function is received by the terminal 130 for the electronic mail company and real mail 160 is printed. The delivery history is stored in the terminal 130 for the electronic mail company, and this delivery history is transmitted to the transmitter terminal 110.
