PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preparing a polyester resin for electrophotography which does not cause drawbacks in fixing at low temperature or offset at high temperature and which can respond to the increased operation speed of an electrophotographic copying machine or a printer. SOLUTION: The modified polyester resin for an electrophotographic toner is obtained by the reaction of a polyester resin (A) and a polyester polyol (B) having a dendrimer structure.
