AIRTIGHT PRESSURE TRANSDUCER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure transducer improving the reliability and produced at relatively low cost and to provide an improved method for assembling an electronic package incorporating a flexible circuit assembly. SOLUTION: A port fitting part 12 is formed of a closed receiver end comprising a diaphragm 12a for fitting a resistance wire strain gage sensor 22. A support member 16 is received by the receiver end and is formed by having a flat end wall 16a having an opening 16c matched with the sensor. A part of the flexile circuit assembly 24a is connected to the flat end wall. An electronic device chamber is formed in a connecting part 18, and the connecting part is reversed and held in a selected height position near the flat end wall of the support member so as to facilitate the soldering of the flexible circuit to a terminal 20 of the connecting part and the soldering of the electronic device to the flexible circuit.
