PURPOSE: A discount purchase method and system is provided to enable a user to have a chance to participate in a lottery event and check a lottery result instantly when the user purchases a commodity in an electronic commerce system, and to apply the lottery result to a discount rate so that it can increase an access to the electronic commerce site. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a purchaser terminal(10), an electronic commerce server(12), a member management database(16), a commodity information database(18), a lottery management server(20), a lottery information database(24), and a credit certification server(26). The electronic commerce server(12) offers commodity information and processes a purchase request via a shopping mall site(14), and performs a payment process. The electronic commerce server(12) offers a lottery event application page under a control of the lottery management server(20) after the user selects a specific commodity or service, and enables the user to apply for a participation in the lottery event. The server(12) reflects a lottery result on a payment for the purchased commodity or service. The lottery management server(20) offers a lottery event application page on a specific pop up window, and drives a lottery execution engine(22) to enable the user to check the lottery result instantly.
