PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute digital contents to moving bodies with small-scale facilities. SOLUTION: A contents provider 10 supplies ciphered contents to a transmitting station 20 and broadcasts the ciphered contents through a satellite 30. A base station 40 which receives the contents from the satellite 30 is arranged at gas stations in the service area of the satellite 30. The contents provider 10 sends deciphering key for deciphering the transmitted contents to individual base stations 40 through the Internet. Each base station 40 stores the received contents and deciphering keys into a large-capacity memory so that they correspond to each other. When a vehicle visits one of the gas stations, an on-vehicle device 50 communication with the base station 40 to download the contents, store them in a memory, and reproduce the date. |
