PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic brush electrifying device 2 and an image forming device using the device 2 as a means for the electrifying stage of an image carrier 1 where excellent image forming without faulty electrification nor faulty development is maintained over a long term by preventing electrifying particles 24 constituting the magnetic brush 24a of the device 2 from being decreased because the particles 24 are stuck to a body to be electrified or the surface of the image carrier 1 and taken away to the outside of the device 2 and also the particles 24 from intruding into a developing device. SOLUTION: A conductive magnetic particle regulating body 26 regulating the layer thickness of the magnetic brush 24a on a conductive magnetic particle carrier 22 is a rotating body disposed proximately to both of the carrier 22 and the body to be electrified or the image carrier 1 on a more downstream side in the moving direction of the body to be electrified or the image carrier 1 than a contact part (a) between the brush 24a and the body to be electrified or the image carrier 1 and capable of magnetically attracting the conductive magnetic particles. |
