PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetizing method for magnetizing a permanent magnet whose poles are anisotropically oriented, especially a rare-earth permanent magnet which exhibits high performance. SOLUTION: First, the magnetizing direction of a main magnetizing magnetic field is changed. For example, the direction of magnetizing magnetic field is changed in the line direction of magnetizing coils 12a by using only a magnetizing yoke 12. Subsequently, the direction of the magnetizing magnetic field is changed in the direction perpendicular to the line direction of the magnetizing coils 12a, by using the magnetizing yoke 12 and an auxiliary yoke 13 which oppose each other. Thus, a permanent magnet 11 is magnetized successively by the respective magnetizing magnet field whose directions are changed. |
