POSITION INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information retrieval system to enable retrieval of position information according to various retrieving objects, capable of providing and displaying the position information to a mobile machine with map information and to facilitate update, deletion and addition of the retrieving objects. SOLUTION: This position information retrieving means 20 is provided with a file 21 to store retrieving object text data together with the position information, a file 22 to store the map data and a meta data management module 23 having a retrieving means 24 to specify a retrieving object item and to retrieve it by accessing to a retrieving object text data file 21 in response to a request and a combining means 25 to read the map data file 22 and to synthesize map image data corresponding to a retrieval result.
