HUMAN MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES AGAINST OXIDIZED LDL RECEPTOR AND MEDICINAL USE THEREOF

摘要

Various human monoclonal antibodies, which bind to human LOX-1 and thus inhibit the binding of LOX-1 to ligands in vivo and incorporation of these ligands into cells mediated by LOX-1, are obtained by immunizing human antibody-producing transgenic mice constructed by using genetic engineering techniques with soluble human oxidized LDL receptor (LOX-1). It is also found out that these monoclonal antibodies are efficacious in preventing and treating various diseases.
