PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance of a magnetic field modulating coil. SOLUTION: An auxiliary lens 51 and the magnetic field modulating coil 75 provided above an objective lens 50 are supported so as to rock against an objective lens holder 60 by an auxiliary lens holder 68. A magnetic field modulating coil driving circuit part 76 for applying a high frequency coil driving current to the magnetic field modulating coil 75, in order to apply magnetic field generated by the magnetic field modulating coil 75 to the recording layer of the magnetic optical disk is attached to the outside surface of the objective lens holder 60 provided to the base member 52 of an optical pickup so as to rock. |
