PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for moving picture reproduction and an information recording medium which make moving picture reproduction fast and can reproduce a moving picture at low cost. SOLUTION: The device and method for moving picture reproduction and information recording medium, which geometrically convert a source image and display geometrically converted images along a time base to reproduce a moving picture, are equipped with a block dividing means (execution means at step S103) which divides the source image into blocks consisting of plural pixels, an image quality varying means (execution means at step S105) which makes the image quality of a conversion block lower and lower as the moving speed of the conversion block of the converted image corresponding to a block of the source image is fast and faster, and a converted image reproducing means (execution means at step S107) which reproduces a converted image consisting of converted blocks having their image quality varied. |
