PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a surface from being scratched in a fiber holding part for incorporating one end of an optical fiber and in a cylinder part for inserting the fiber holding part in. SOLUTION: The optical fiber connector is equipped with a receptacle casing 21 and a cylinder 25 installed inside the receptacle casing 21, the inner wall of which is formed with minute holes 30 for taking in dust; a ferrule 103 installed at the tip end of an optical fiber 100 is inserted into the cylinder 25, while the dust infiltrating into the cylinder 25 is stored in the minute holes 30; and, with the outer circumference of the ferrule 103 brought into contact with the inner wall of the cylinder 25, the tip end of the optical fiber 100 is attached to the receptacle casing 21. |
