<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that decodes/reproduces a moving image with a software program and eliminates occurrence of a frame skip to the utmost, so as to realize smooth reproduction of the moving image. SOLUTION: A delay detection selection 504 detects a delay in reproduction processing of a moving image signal according to a delay notice received from a manager and uses a state variable 505, to manage an extent of the delay of reproduction processing. A control section 506 conducts delay recovery control, such as skipping of execution of filter processing by an image quality enhancement section 502 or selection of a simple filter processing requiring a small throughput for the kind of the filter processing, in order to control the compensation of the delay in the reproduction processing, while the skip (frame skip) of the decode processing is excluded to the utmost by an image expansion section 501. Since processor load is relieved, the delay in the reproduction processing is compensated in this way, so that occurrence of defective framing due to the frame skip is prevented.</p> |
