ADDRESS TRANSLATION SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a interconnection of networks without changing the addresses included in each network even when the address spaces of networks to be interconnected overlap each other. SOLUTION: On an interconnection network where a control network 36 is connected to user networks 32-1 to 32-4, the intermediate networks 34-1 and 34-2 are prepared to use the address spaces which never overlap the networks 32-1 to 32-4 or the network 36 together with the network connection devices 33-1 to 33-4, 35-1 and 35-2 which have the address translation functions. Thus, the interconnection is attained among the networks even when the addresses of host terminals 31-3 and 31-4 of other user networks 32-3 and 32-4 are overlapping each other or when the address of a host terminal 31-1 of the network 32-1 is overlapping the address of a host terminal 37 of the network 36.
