PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording apparatus having satisfactory operability, an information recording method which can be used by the appara tus and a digital camera capable of using the method. SOLUTION: In the information recording apparatus for recording information containing images, the apparatus comprises a recording unit 220 for recording images, a replay unit 250 for reproducing information containing sounds, a release switch 114 for instructing image recording. When an instruction for image recording is issued from the release switch 114 during the reproduction of the information containing of sounds, after the instruction of stopping of the replay of the information containing of sounds is issued a recording and replay control unit 200 instructs the start of the recording of images.
