PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device which can accurately obtain correction data for correcting the outputs of respective pixels beforehand, when and object is image-picked up without reguiring irradiation of uniform light. SOLUTION: When an image pickup operation is performed, a MOS transistor T4 is turned on, MOS transistors T3 and T5 are turned off and a MOS transistor T1 is operated in a sub-threshold region. Thus, an output signal whose logarithm is converted is led out to a signal line 6. When a reset operation is performed, the MOS transistor T4 is turned off, the MOS transistors T3 and T5 are turned on, and by making a constant current flow in the MOS transistor T1, an output signal at the time when the pixels are reset is led out to the signal line 6.
