PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for emulating an SSE instruction which uses existing hardware efficiently and requires only a relatively few clock cycles. SOLUTION: This method comprises a step 310 for decomposing a macroinstruction into plural microinstructions (a), a step 320 for issuing at least two of plural microinstructions in parallel (b), a step 340 for judging whether or not any exception is generated in either or both of the two of the plural microinstructions (c), and a step 350 for canceling at least the two of the plural microinstructions when any exception is generated in either or both of the two of the plural microinstructions (d).
