PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration noise of a valve body without newly adding any component element. SOLUTION: A lower end surface 49d of a first valve rod 49 is formed to have a taper against an upper end surface 46d of a second valve rod 46, so that a part of the upper end surface 46d of the valve rod contacted with the lower end surface 49d of the first valve rod becomes a part spaced apart from a central axis of the second valve rod 46. When the second valve rod 4 slides, a rotating momentum is always generated at the second valve rod 46, and the second valve rod 46 is pushed against a hole 40a of a main body case 40. Thus, it is possible to increase a frictional force between the second valve rod 46 and the main body case 40 and increase a sliding resistance of the second valve rod 46 without increasing the number of component parts of the expansion valve. Further, it is possible to reduce vibrating noise of the valve body 43.
