PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming an image and to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which is environment-friendly and realizes high performance, long life and high reliability in a high level. SOLUTION: In the method of forming an image, the electrophotographic photoreceptor used has a structure of at least a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer consisting of a charge transfer material and a polycarbonate resin successively laminated on a conductive supporting body, and the wear rate of the electrophotographic photoreceptor (wear amount of the charge transfer layer/traveling distance of the photoreceptor) is <=1.50×10-11. In this method, the solvent of the coating liquid for the charge transfer layer is tetrahydrofuran containing an antioxidant expressed by structural formula 1 to inhibit the oxidation of the solvent itself, and the charge transfer layer contains an additive expressed by structural formula 2.
