PURPOSE: A web site promotion system and a method thereof are provided to efficiently publicize web sites on Internet by offering promotion pieces to make Internet users visit web sites spontaneously. CONSTITUTION: A web site promotion system(10) contains a web server(100) and a database server(120). The database server(120) has a corresponding image DB(121), a participant information DB(123), a prize winning information DB(125), and a prize winner information DB(127). The web server(100) is connected with Internet mediums(30a-30n) through Internet(20) so that the users using their respective Internet mediums(30a-30n) can exchange information with the web site promotion system(10) through Internet(20). In case that the Internet mediums(30a-30n) are computers, they are connected to the web server(100) through Internet(20). In case that the Internet mediums(30a-30n) are mobile terminals having wireless Internet browsers, they are connected to the web server(100) through mobile communication networks and wap gateways.
