PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely operate under a simple control by setting conditions by surely detecting a fault such as an adherence of a soot or the like to a heat exchanger in a warm water circulation type boiler having a burner and the exchanger and connected via a circulation pipeline so as to circulate a warm water. SOLUTION: The warm water circulation type boiler comprises a fault detecting timer 29 for counting a continuing time of a high thermal power combustion of a burner 15 and resetting a counting time when a combustion amount is reduced after counting is started. In this case, the timer 29 stops the combustion when the timer 29 counts a predetermined time or more.
