PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone system which transmits image data, etc., attached to an attached file of a received e-mail to a printer side and simply print the image. SOLUTION: This portable telephone system for transmitting and receiving the e-mail by attaching an attached file such as image data to e-mail is provided with a memory in which the image data are stored, and a controlling means which makes the data of the attached file to be stored in the memory when the attached file is included in the case of receiving the e-mail, subsequently reads the data of the attached file to transmit the data to a printer 10 side and makes the printer 10 perform printing processing. The printer 10 is connected to the data output terminal 4 of the controlling means through a cable 6 to which the terminal part 5 of one end is connected in a freely attachable and detachable way.
