PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code converting method capable of realizing any code conversion in an independent computer regardless of an available code system. SOLUTION: In this code converting method for converting the expression of data using one or plural code systems into expression using another code system, plural tables 30a in which each code of various code systems to be used after code conversion and before code conversion is made correspond to each code of a reference code system are recorded in an outside recording medium 30, and each designation information 20 of the code system used before the code conversion of data 40 to be code-converted and the code system to be used after the code conversion of the data 40 is designated, and at least one table 30a corresponding to the code system of each designated destination information 20 is read from the recording medium 30, and the code conversion of the data 40 is operated based on the read table 30a. |
