PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small sized color image recorder with a simple constitu tion, where a beautiful color image can be obtained and with a superior maintainability. SOLUTION: In the device, each image forming unit 1Bk, 1Y, 1M or 1C can be sequentially moved to a same image forming position 50 by moving by revolving the whole group of a multiple number of image forming units provided with different color toners. Image formation is carried out on the image forming unit at the image forming position 50 by a signal light 13 and that toner image is transferred to a facing intermediate transfer belt 32. Optical paths of signal lights 13 constituted of adjacent two image forming units are in parallel to each other and width of a gap is to be less 20 mm. |
