摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting devise that can be miniaturized without complicating the circuit configuration. SOLUTION: The voltage of commercial AC power supply e is rectified and filtered in a rectifier/filter circuit 1. The transistor Q2 or Q3, whichever is easier to be turned on first, is turned on through the starter resistors R3 and R4 in the inverter circuit 3. The voltage across the drive coil Tr4c is rectified in the diode D1 and charges the capacitor C1. By inducing AC voltage in the base coil Tr2c and alternately turning on the transistor Q2 and Q3, the voltage is alternately impressed on the input coil Tr1a of the transformer Tr1, the input coil Tr2a of the transformer Tr2, the input coil Tr3a of the transformer Tr3, and the input coil Tr4a of the transformer Tr4. By inducing a high frequency AC voltage in the output coil Tr1b of transformer Tr1, the output coil Tr2b of transformer Tr2, the output coil Tr3b of transformer Tr3, and the output coil Tr4b of transformer Tr4, the cold cathode lamp FL1-FLn are turned on by the high frequency voltage.
