PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently design the layout of an LSI by extracting a manually arranged cell and enhancing efficiency in manual cell arrangement in an LSI layout design system concerning LSI layout design. SOLUTION: The LSI layout design system having an arrangement wiring device for reading connecting information to be stored in a connecting information management means and cell physical information to be stored in a physical information management means and for performing an automatic arrangement wiring processing is provided with a locating means for locating a route from the pin of the designated cell based on connecting information to be stored in the connecting information management means and for locating the cells existing on the route to an arrival flip-flop, a selecting means for selecting a locating direction from the designated pin which is located by the locating means and for indicating it to the locating means, a display means for displaying the cells existing on the route to the arrival flip-flop located by the locating means and an arranging means for arranging the cells to be displayed by the display means at optimum positions.
