PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide signal detecting technology in which signals that partially include beforehand-specified signals are efficiently detected. SOLUTION: A reference feature value computing means 1 derives a feature vector series from beforehand-registered reference signals and an input feature vector computing means 2 derives another feature vector series from inputted signals. Then, an attention window setting means 3 respectively sets attention windows for a portion of the feature vector series derived by the means 1 and a portion of the feature vector series derived by the means 2. Then, a degree of similarity computing means 4 computes the degree of similarity for the feature vectors of respective attention windows to determine whether the signals within the windows are similar. On the basis of the computed degree of similarity, a skip width computing means 5 computes the skip widths of the windows, the next setting positions of the respective windows are determined and similar processing is repeated.
