SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING NETWORK PERFORMANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the performance of a specified communication network among the communication networks of interconnected communication common carriers and to provide the measured result to end users. SOLUTION: An interface function device 5 is provided inside a communication network 2a of a communication common carrier and accepts a measuring request from the end user. Server module devices 7a and 7b for measurement are respectively installed in the vicinity of an incoming side edge device 3 and an outgoing side edge device 4 inside the communication network 2a of the communication common carrier and generate measurement traffic to opposite client module devices 6a and 6b for measurement. The devices 6a and 6b acquire the performance of the communication network 2a by measuring the measurement traffic and report it through the interface function device 5 to the end users.
