PURPOSE: To provide a drum brake device of dual two leading type (D2L type) capable of improving the transmission efficiency of an operation force of a shoe expansion device to brake shoes and simplifying the structure. CONSTITUTION: This drum brake device is so constituted that an intermediate part of a pivot lever 60 is rotatably pivoted to the intermediate part of one brake shoe 40, the shoe expansion device 20 is arranged between one end 60a of the pivot lever 60 and one end 50a of the other brake shoe 50, a strut 70 is operatively engaged between the other end 60b of the pivot lever 60 and the other brake shoe 50. The operating force of the shoe expansion device 20 is transmitted to the one brake shoe 40 via a pivot part of the pivot lever 70, and transmitted to the other brake shoe 50 via the one end 50a of the brake shoe and the strut 70.
