PURPOSE: A valve assembly having an electronic timer is provided to prevent gas leakage by opening a gas pipe with estimating the use of a gas stove, and to control the valve precisely. CONSTITUTION: A valve assembly is composed of a timer setting operating time; a driving motor(11) detecting the signal from the timer and having a fixed pin; a lever member(13) having a protrusion fitted to the pin of the driving motor, and a turning shaft to rotate; a valve sensor(15) detecting the opening of the valve by turning the lever member; and a valve(17) having a groove containing the lever member, and a spring turning a valve cap to close the valve by operating the lever member. The state and the use time of the valve are controlled precisely with the electronic timer, and the gas stove is used safely with the valve assembly.
