The system has at least two pressurized medium chambers (4a) for springing the vehicle body with respect to the wheels with compensation chambers (8a) with variable volumes and control elements. Each compensation chamber has an adjustment mechanism (20a) connecting a compensation spring (16a) and a control element. The mechanism is supported by the control element in one adjustment direction and by the compensation spring in the other.
