The air humidifier, for a humidity chamber, has a heater (1) in the air flow to a fan blower (2). A sputterer (3) delivers water droplets by compressed air into the air flow from the fan blower (2). The separate units are operated by a control, according to the measured air humidity and/or the air temperature. The water droplets are distributed when the air temperature has achieved a durable level of 40-60 deg C.
