RADIATION SENSITIZER COMPRISING HUMAN PEROXIREDOXIN II(PRX II) ANTISENSE SEQUENCE

PURPOSE: A radiation sensitizer comprising human peroxiredoxin II(Prx II) antisense sequence is provided, thereby increasing the radiation sensitivity of radiation tolerant cancer cell lines and treating cancers. CONSTITUTION: The radiation sensitizer comprises the total human peroxiredoxin II(Prx II) antisense sequence represented by the sequence number 6 or a portion of the human peroxiredoxin II(Prx II) antisense sequence which is oligonucleotides represented by sequence numbers 3 and 4. The radiation therapy for the head and neck cancer or breast cancer cell lines having radiation tolerance is improved by application of the radiation sensitizer comprising human Prx II antisense sequence, in which the gamma ray of 1 to 5 Gy is used.
