A liquid distributor (30), provided with outlet orifices, is placed at all sides of a hollow body (10) immersed in a liquid bath (21) within a housing (20). The housing is linked with a liquid reservoir through a spiral tube (31) wound around the hollow body and fitted at the inlet connection (32) of the housing. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a calibrated installation of an infrared measuring instrument; and (b) a method for equalizing the temperature of a hollow body.
