INTERNET ACCESS METHOD USING INTERNET TV AND REMOTE CONTROLLER HAVING BAR CODE SCANNER FUNCTION IN SET TOP BOX HAVING INTERNET BROWSING FUNCTION

PURPOSE: An Internet method is provided to access to an Internet site by receiving an Internet address from a bar code using a remote controller having a bar code scanner function and transmits the Internet address to an Internet TV or a set top box. CONSTITUTION: A bar code having Internet address information is distributed widely through a printing medium(S1). A user inputs a bar code having desired Internet address information using a remote controller having a bar code scanner function(S2). The Internet address information is stored in a temporary memory in the remote controller or a memory which is connected with a corresponding button using buttons of the remote controller(S3). The stored Internet address information is encoded by pushing a corresponding button of the remote controller and is transmitted to an Internet TV or a set top box(S4). The Internet TV or the set top box decodes the received Internet address information and accesses to a corresponding Internet site(S5).
