The fuel cell has a device containing at least one reactor (1-4) for processing the process gas for the fuel cell (7) with an air outlet line (8) from the cathode side (9) of the fuel cell with a process gas feed line (10,14) to the reactor(s), whereby the water and/or oxygen demand for gas processing is at least partly satisfied from the air outlet flow from the cathode side of the fuel cell. Independent claims are also included for the following: the use of a fuel cell as a vehicle battery, especially in an electric vehicle and a method of processing process gas for a fuel cell.
