PURPOSE: An Internet research system and method is provided to collect and process Internet usage status at real time, and transfer the information to a company or an individual. CONSTITUTION: A central server(20) is composed of a process which controls whole process of information, a database which stores information transmitted and an information processing unit which processes the information. A plurality of panel systems(10) includes an operation system, a browser capable of connecting to a web site, an information collecting program which collects information on a present condition of using the Internet in real time. The panel systems are connected to web sites(31,32,33). An Internet transmission network connects the central server(20) with a plurality of panel systems(10). The central server(20) stores the information on the present condition in the database and transmits the information to an information consumer(40).
