WAP phone user location information is converted into location coordinates which are transmitted to a database processor (34) that selects data sets whose position information have a preset relation with the location coordinates from a database (14). The relevant data sets, e.g. representing the nearest hotel, are sent to a location terminal (26) through the data networks (36,40). An Independent claim is also included for a device for location dependent provision of information.
