PURPOSE: A linear movement motor using electro-magnet is provided to reduce parts count and cost by eliminating the device for converting rotational movement of the motor into a linear movement, while preventing noise and vibration caused due to rotation of the motor. CONSTITUTION: A linear movement motor comprises an assembly of a permanent magnet or an electro-magnet(1) which moves in a linear fashion by using a repulsive force or attracting force between magnetic poles. When the electro-magnet moves in the left direction, the magnetic pole is changed through a switch or a sensor before the electro-magnet contacts the left N-pole. When the electro-magnet moves in the right direction, the magnetic pole is changed before the electro-magnet contacts the right N-pole. In this manner, a high speed reciprocating linear movement is obtained without causing noise or vibration.
