PURPOSE: A system for providing private broadcasting service by using moving picture transmission and database technology and a method thereof are provided to let individuals show and operate each own broadcasting on line easily at low cost. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a file server storing information on the operator of the broadcasting and broadcasting program in a file form, a web server saving a broadcasting program on a fixed location of the file server when the operator inputs a program desired to be broadcasted through Internet and storing data of the home page information changed from a channel managed by the operator, a database server storing storage path on each file of the file server, and a media server reproducing image of image related program when the broadcasting program is provided to the audience by the web server. The method includes the following steps of: (i) confirming if a private broadcasting operator contacted through Internet is right; (ii) showing a proper channel to the right operator and getting input of desired functions chosen by the operator; and (iii) storing or deleting broadcasting program additionally input or deleted by the operator.
