A process for assembling an electrical dust removal unit with movable electrodes, comprises locating a number of discharge frames inside a housing at a predetermined spacing from each other. Numerous electrodes are produced by locating dust precipitation meshes on a pair of endless chains, so that a loop is formed. The movable electrodes are rotated after every second discharge frame. The frames are first assembled at predetermined positions inside the housing, and the electrodes are then applied.
