Camera comprises object lens (4) and image surface (7) with an aperture (2) having an illumination slit (6) of adjustable width. A manual or motor operated drive device coupled to the slit controls its movement over the image surface. Movement of aperture across image surface provides length distortion of image which is used for movement analysis of image. An independent claim is made for a method for depicting a dynamic process.
