Membranes comprising a blend of (a) a functional polymer selected from sulfonated aryl polymers, (b) a reinforcing polymer selected from aminated or nitrated polyether(ether)sulfones and (c) a plasticizer are new. An Independent claim is also included for a fuel cell containing such a membrane.
