An electrical machine (1), especially a synchronous machine, has a rotor (5). The rotor comprises a magnet system (3), a shaft (2) and a front bearing (4). The magnet system is located without a carrier system on the shaft. The magnet system comprises at least one permanent magnet. It is connected in adhesive fashion with the shaft. The shaft in the region of the magnet system comprises at least partially one hard magnetic material. The shaft, at least in the region of the magnet system ,consists mostly out of soft magnetic material. An inner diameter of the front bearing is larger than an outer diameter of the rotor.
