The system for fastening together two components (1, 2) with different coefficients of expansion, especially car bodywork, comprises two plates (4, 5) which are positioned on either side of the component (1) with the higher coefficient of expansion. These have projecting rings which fit into a bore (11) in the component and are arranged at 180 deg to each other so that they are held together by cooperating hooks (7) and catches (8). The components are then fastened together using a nut (10) and bolt (9).
