PURPOSE: A process for preparing high transparent polyester resin is provided to satisfy both of high transparency and high molecular weight properties suitable to produce clean polymer and resin for a variety of bottles and backsheets by adapting the optimum condition of additives during melting polymerization. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises using high purity terephthalic acid and ethyleneglycol monomer as raw materials, a block-copolymerizing reformer of dibasic acid containing PIA in a content of 2.0-4.9mole%/PTA, a reformer of dihydric alcohols containing DEG in a content of 0-1.5wt%/PET, and polycondensation catalyst such as antimony trioxide and antimony triacetate, germanium oxide alone and/or in combination with at least two of them in an amount of 200-750ppm/PET; and adding to the obtained material with a stabilizer selected from the compounds having the formula(1) or (2) in 100-200ppm/PET, or the formula(3) in 10-50ppm/PET (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are alkyl groups(CnHn+1) where n=1 to 5 for formula(1); n=2 to 6 for formula(2); and n=0 to 12 for formula(3)). |
