The roller for winding up the flexible roller blind panel is in swivel connection at the upper end with a traction profile formed by a flat profiled section (11) having two cross-sectional areas (13, 1) formed by the swivel connection (12) by which it is supported either side of the gap (10) in the vehicle superstructure when the blind is rolled up the maximum amount. One of the cross sectional areas has an edge contour (15) matching that of the vehicle roof contour and pointing upwards when the flat profiled section hangs down for covering the gap when the blind is wound up.
