PURPOSE: Provided is a method for removing simultaneously odor and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using a petroleum-based solvent. The petroleum-based solvent is a mixture with fixed ratio of kerosene, light oil and heavy oil. CONSTITUTION: The method proceeds to the following steps: flowing (2) gas containing odor and VOCs in a dissolving tank (3); injecting (1) the petroleum-based solvent into the dissolving tank (3); dissolving (3) gas in the tank; flowing (4) out purified gas; recirculating (5) the petroleum-based solvent containing odor and VOCs for a some time and recycling that as fuel. The recirculation time is varied according to the concentration of waste gas.
